Has anyone fixed an engine mis by using a MSD box? I have a slight mis and checked all the usual stuff. Wondering if my stock ignition is shot.

A MSD box will not fix a miss in your engine. The MSD boxes are just amplifiers to your stock ignition. They do not take the place of your stock system.

Do a tune up. Work from there. Things are a lot easier when you have a fresh tune up to work with.
