dyno results

rwhp: 198.2, and rwtq: 300.2,
my set up is in my sig. peak torque was at about 2.9k and peak hp was at 4.3k rpms. Does this seem right, i figured that it would be atleast at 4.5k, and the rwhp seems low for my set up?!?; and the block is the stock 350. Options please?

The numbers are a little low, but not a whole lot off IMO. My guess with your mods maybe 211-215RWHP and 320ish TQ. Each can vary a bit from car to car. What state of tune is the car in??? What is timing set at??? What is fuel pressure set at??? Any other little things that might or might not be a factor??? Also what kind of dyno??? Did they give you an AFR reading on a wideband???

I've seen a 90s 305 bird put down 220 with long tube headers and a k&n with some tuning.

Did you do any tuning to your computer with those mods? How was your A/F ratio? What is your timing total and when is it in by? Before you hit the dyno did you perform a tune up? Does your dyno give you the run on disk so you can check speed vs rpm to see if your converter is slipping (If it's an auto).

Some more thoughts. You have the Edelbrock Headers and the Dnyonmax muffler. What is in between? Stock system? Do you have one converter or two? Are you running the stock "Y" pipe to connect the two sides of the exhaust? What size exhaust pipes are you running? Allen

the tune is pretty good, i advanced the timing to 9 degrees, fuel pressure is set to the stock pressure, mobile chasis dyno( dont know if that answers ur question), ya the afr was between 12.5 and 13.0 through the whole rpm range.

no they didnt give me that, and yes it is an auto, but the converter and transmission is the stock tranmission from the factory with 140k miles on it.

From what I have seen there are HP gains to be had with a first class exhaust system from the headers to the muffler. You need a mandrel bent system. That means no reduction in diameter in the bends etc. If dual cats you need 2 1/2 inch pipes from the headers to the cats. Then from the cats 2 1/2 inch pipes to a good wye and then 3 inch to the muffler. By replacing the factory "wye" pipe connection with one of good design you can pick up a good 10 horsepower right there.

If a single cat than 2 1/2 inches from the headers to the wye and then 3 inch to the cat and then 3 inch from the cat to the muffler with of course a 3 inch cat. Then you will have the power as described in the above posts. The factory exhaust system is narrowed in many places and costing you HP. If you are keeping the car this is a good place to spend some money. With a first class exhaust you will get the maximum from any future mods you may do. Allen

I've got the stock I pipe right now, with the setup in sig. Duals coming soon, but it costs me about 4tenths in the quarter from open vs full exhaust.

That's not holding you back, right now.
