MAF sensor help

i was wondering, i think my MAF is dead, how do i check if its working or not? is there some way to check it? i have a 2nd MAF sensor but its off a 88 2.8L V6 and im not too sure it will work on my 87 350 tpi. (will it?)

Replied to your other post, but have you searched the forums for the code you are getting?

I know on other occassions members have been nice enough to scan in the pertinent factory service manuals, yours might already be available on here somewhere.

Did you check to make sure that it wasn't the sensors for the MAF? They are located on the Drivers side of the Firewall. They are about $20 to replace the 2 of them, as oppose to replacing a MAF, that is no longer available from GM or its manufacturers! Question though... are you getting any other codes 31, 33 or 34?? Check a post I sent to a guy that may be of interest to you. This was from my own personal experience changing a 305 TBI over to a 350 TPI.
