New Fuel Lines for miniram 406 motor

OK I am going to be replacing my fuel lines to move them out of the trans tunnel and away from the exhaust. I have the Holley 255 pump in tank already, 36lb injectors and turn about 6500-7000 rpms

I already have the connections to the frame rail mounted fuel lines in the engine compartment M-18/M-16 to 6AN and then stainless braided going to miniram rails.

The question I have is about the lines themselves. I was planning on leaving the stock line going from the tank to the fuel filter and then run a connection (which one?) from the fuel filter to some sort of braided line up to the connection in the engine compartment to the motor. What size line should I run for the pressure and return lines? How much HP can the stock size lines support? I am currently running 36 lb injectors.

Also how much pressure is inthe return line? Will a simple bank clamp at the tank suffice?

If you all recommend up grading the fuel system, please give some details. Thanks

I am using -06AN size for the feed line and the return lines. I think that that size feeds plenty of fuel so I wouldn't worry about going any larger. The metal lines on the Mini-Ram are either 3/8" or -06AN anyways.....so if you went bigger you would still have those as a restriction. Also there is enough pressure on the return line to constitute the factory to use a metal line, Personally I only like to upgrade, not downgrade.....so why go w/ a lower quality return line then what came stock??

I keep mixing up my carbed car with my FI car. The return line is a hard connection. duh.

Where did you run your lines? Did you use brackets to hold the lines up? Do you have any pics?

No pics yet, I am actually still working on them....it gets cold w/ no heat in garage. I am just running them in the factory location, I used 3ft piece to go from the sender to my new filter...then right on the end of the filter is my inline pump....then a braided line right up the stock location to the fitting on the fuel rails on the Mini-Ram...I am using 3/8" insulated fuel line clamps to hold them up....i clamp the feed and return lines at an offset, then wire tie them in a few spots.I eliminated the other line going to the vaccuum canister in the front of the car, and just used it as another vent, w/ a filter coming off the tank.

I hope this helps, and when they are finished I will snap some pics.
