3.1 egr
anybody, what would be the repuctions of running with a engine lite pointing to the egr valve......I've been told 600.00. I just can't see it

I'm not sure I fully understand your question.
Are you saying that you have a "CEL" and the error codes indicate a faulty EGR? If that's the case, I would agree that $600 would seem a bit high for a repair bill. I would think that even a digital EGR valve on later V-6s would cost less than $150 to replace. What's more, the EGR valve itself may not be the real problem.
