carb to TPI change over

I have a 1986 IROZ Z 305 with a computer controlled quadrajet. I have a 1986 TPI 305 parts car complete. I'm thinking of taking the TPI set up and replacing the quadrajet with it. Would this be worth the effort? Would I have to change the entire wire harness and computer? I have everything, TPI, harness, fuel tank with pump, computer. All I got to get is a distributor. I'm not going to do it right now but it is a possibility later on this summer. I would like some comments.also the quad has a factory t-5 the TPI car has a 700r4 if this makes a difference

My 86 Z28 was the same as yours. I had a doner TPI 85 Z28. It took about 3 weeks because I had to work on my regular job. But I swap everything including the fuel lines, rear disc brakes, T5 trans, rewired for the A/C and pull down hatch, engine, music, power door locks, rear defogger, cruise control, interior, 2in drop springs, dash board with the wire harness still attached, all the wires in the engine compartment and all the suspension parts. Yes it was a lot of work.
