I have a 91 350 TPI, and I have been having a loss of power as of late. I will be at like 60 miles an hour and try to punch it and it just sounds kind of like a clicking sound and doesnt really kick into a gear like it should, and the RPMs are still low like 2000. Shoudlnt my car still have some kick at 60 mph?

 

What RPM doe the noise occur? Does the transmission downshift when you "try to punch it"? Where does the noise seem to come from?

 

it almost seems liek it downshifts when i floor it, and the noise seems like its coming from the engine, kind of hard to tell where though
