The 85 uses a MAF 'module'

Its insanely expensive, and hard to find.
You might want to consider swapping your ECM to a newer MAF setup, or a speed density setup. Thats if its the module is the problem with your car.

Last price I heard was in the range of $800. You might be able to find a 'good' used piece for less, but I dont think I have ever heard of someone getting one for less than a couple hundred.

Relax, be happy, it should be available at your local parts store. If not here's a link. The site even tells you where the relay is located.

Too bad that doesn't apply to the MAF module for the 85 which is located behind the dash plastic on the passanger side.

So the 85' doesn't have a MAF power, or burn-off relay?

The '85 ecm has a module attatched to it, or below it that is callled the MAS module, it is what controlled the burn-off function for that year. It sucks, it's expensive and it's a PITA.
