i finally got my car painted and bought a 383 but i need some temporary heads, i currently have a 305 but i'm having to many problems and i don't want to invest money in the 305. will the corvette heads work on a 383 and where can i find them? i tried searching buy didn't find anything.

 

If you are referring to the 88-81 vette heads, the are the 113 castings. They are available used (usually) from www.comtemporarycorvette.com. They sell for 350-500 bucks. Last I checked the are available new from gm (complete) with zz4 valve springs for $850 or so a pair. New seems like the best bet unless you can score a good set (used) from a forum member or friend.

 

Are you referring to the Aluminum L98 Vette heads? IF so then yes they will work. Stock they will not be optimal, but they will not hurt the motor to run them. Ported would be better. They are the same as the ZZ4 heads also if you want to look for those...
