Ok I have an odd sort of problem, occassionaly, my car will not start once it is hot. I don't have a clue why. Its not a starter/solinoid problem because the starter will crank and the engine will faintly try to fire. It will catch and stumble for just a second and die. I could keep the key on cranking for 20 or 30 seconds and it will almost run, although very rough, but will die out as soon as I touch the gas. When cracking and depressing the gas, it will immediatly stop firing and just bog.

Oddly enough, this only happens once in a while when the car is hot (like after taking it out for a hard drive, or just simply moving it around in the yard on a very hot day) It does seem to be happening more frequently, and it has already left me stranded waiting for it to cool down.

Opening the hood and letting it cool down does seem to speed up the process so it will fire again. I've got no clue, any suggestions?

I have about the same problem but mine is a little worse. My car will start if it sits then after I drive it for a bit I turn it off and it will not turn back on, no click, no starter trying to fire just silence. Then I gotta just jump start it and it is fine. Weird world huh?
