pontiac vs. chevy

I was wondering what it the difference between a Pontiac TPI 350 and a Chevy TPI 350 or did the pontiacs use chevy engines.
I just got a 89 formula 350 but I want an Iroc cause I'm a Chevy Man!

Well somewhat good news for you then, your poncho has a chevy engine. The thirdgen pontiacs (and later) used chevy engines.

There are no differences between the TPI engines but the firebirds did have a more restrictive air intake from the factory and accessories are sometimes on different sides of the engine between the camaros and firebirds.
