several probs with TPI

I own an 89 formula with a 350 TPI. First , the lowest I can get it to idle is 750 rpm but I think that is caused by the vacuum leak. There is a hose that is hooked up to the Cruise Control diaphram but I dont know where it hooks up to the engine. I found it laying behind the distibutor. Also it doesnt seem like it wants to rev for nothing! When I hit the gas it bogs so bad it sounds like its going to shut off and then it start revving very slow. I had a mechanic work on it to make it run right and 1000 dollars later I think it might run worse! I do have a new cap and rotor and new plugs and plug wires. BTW no check engine soon light so I guess the computer thinks the engine is running fine! Any help would be appreciated!

That hose connects to the passenger side of your plenum. It's on the side all the way to the back. It's easy to see. There's three ports on the plenum back there.

Thanks for the replys. I guess I will check the cat and get the vacuum hose hooked up and see how it runs. Some how I dont think that will fix it completely but its gotta make it better!
