What on the TPI are the biggest restricters of power?

By the way,are TPI's 90-92 MAF'd? If they are where is the MAF located?

No they are not MAF'd. You know something b/c you know the years that are Speed Density.

As far as the restrictions.

"A chain is only as strong as its weakess link"

Your gonna have to compliment parts with one another. Change the runners and the base will hold you back. Change the base and the runners will hold you back. Change the base and runners and the heads are gonna hold you back. Change the heads and the intakes gonna hold you back. Change the runners, base and heads and the cam is gonna hold you back.

You get the point. But if i had to pick one i would say the base.

port the heads, if not get new ones, tb is fine, knock out the blockages in the plenum, port match the whole system, change the base or the runners for high power situations. On a 383 with a heavy duration high lift cam a ported LTR(stock with a 58mm tb and all of the above listed) TPI system put out around 502hp. The superam pulled about 507. and i think the highest was 40 horsepower more. Just remove chevy's idoicies and should be able to stay with the stock tb, oh yeah put on headers and a exhaust

I would have to say that the most restrictive part to the TBI system is the runners as they are fairly small and very long. Siamesed runners would be much better for High-end power.
