New guy w/ a question

I have an '85 T/A that originally had a 305. I recently ditched the 305 block for a 350 gm goodwrench crate motor. I put all the original 305 TPI equipment back on because I can't really afford to do anything else right now. Mods include: SLP cold air kit, flowmaster catback, and a shift kit. I also have a JET performance chip (stage 1) that I may put in. I am wondering if the stock 305 TPI will really be limiting the power this engine will put out. I'm looking for about 285 hp & 350ft/lbs. of torque. If this is seriously hindering the power output, whats the top priorities I need to take care of. Was there a big difference between the original 305 TPI and 350 TPI components? Any help is much appreciated!

Thanks

the TPI was the exact same on the 305 and the 350 except the 350 had 22# injectors and the 305 had 19# injectors. this intake system will definitely limit your power output. it should make great low end torque, but not much high rpm horsepower. you can upgrade the stock TPI system with bigger runners/bigger base, or you can convert to an LT1 intake, StealthRam, SuperRam..., you have a lot of options, check out the sticky in the Alternative Port EFI Intake Forum
