Do we really have a choice ?

You know, I'm sitting here, racking my brain.....

What intake is there out there that will do the following:
Give us high rpm breathing power?
Use an EGR to remain emissions legal?
Not cost a prohibutive amount brand new?
Allow the use of a MAF?

The SUPERRAM is all I could come up with, but at between $1000 - $1200, it violates number 3.

All I want to do is cam, head, and intake my SBC to be all it can be around 5,600 RPM (with a small bore and long stroke, I know, but we aren't discussing the motor, jsut the intake!) Fully siamesed SLP's, with a high flow base reducing runner length to about 11 inches? There has to be a more realistic way.

An LT1 intake conversion should be what you are looking for.

Superrams are cool for a small 4.03" bore and long 3.75" stroke as are lt1's......... But how can you run egr with a lt1?

Not unless you can fab up something for the EGR (or go the 'vette route).
I have an LT1 manifold sitting in the shed. One day I'll get around to converting it, or have John do it (John if you read this, PM about maybe cutting me one of the dist. seats in AL) so I can mount it and try to figure out how hard it is.
Funds however are short, so it's yet another project sitting on the back burner for now... Maybe Ishould take up a collection on here to fund all the thirdgen research me and Mr. Tin Head (I used 'Mr.s this time :finger: )want to finish.

It would be great if an EGR could be used with the SR or HSR. You have to wonder why Holley didn't design a SR to use an EGR as well. They may have even gotten CARB approval with that, not that I care, I just need an EGR.
