throttle cable question?
I converted my 350 tbi setup to a 1987 305 tpi setup.
I ordered a throttle cable for a 1992 camaro tpi350, not thinking, and now I see the end of my throttle cable and the connector on the throttle body are different. The cable has the lead barrel and the tb has a connector for the c-clip. Does anyone know if there is a conversion kit or adapter I could use, So i dont have to order another cable.
Thanks

Nope, get the right cable. The throttle body used the barrel connector on the later TPIs (89 and up I think?) and the clip on style for the earlier TPIs

Thats correct. The 85-88 cables were different than the 89-92 cables only in how they attach to the throttle arm. The only conversion I could think of would be to remove the throttle arm from the throttle shaft (have fun!) and press on an 85-88 throttle arm that you took off another throttle body. Its doable, but a hell of alot more work than the price of the right cable. They are fairly cheap.
