MAF sensor voltage

My car is finally getting running after 3 years of rebuild time, i had a painless wiring harness installed and noticed my batter had been draining if left hooked up, with the key off and the terminals hooked up theres voltage in 2 spots at the MAF sensor connection,

heres the specs on the car 350 tpi, painless wiring 89 ecm and chip running no cold start injector, just confused on why there would be voltage at the connector when the key is off?

thanks
Matt

There should be voltage to the ECM after shut down and during a burn off cycle. This is normally completed within about a minute of shut down, however.

If you have a sticking/shorted AMF burnoff relay, or similar problem with the wiring or ECM, there may be 12V present at the MAF with the ignition off.
