Carb to tpi alternator bracket
Can anyone post a picture of your alternator bracket on a tpi setup. I would need the pic of it on the passenger side. A closeup of where it attaches to the intake would be really helpful.
Thanks

I believe there were a couple of styles, I wish I had more detailed pics of mine, but with the alternator bolted in, I can't get any.
Basically it has one "ear" that connects it to the water pump with a bolt, and a two prong "fork" that slips over a stud that holds the bottom front edge of the passenger side runner in place.

The only years compatible with your setup would be 85-87, after that, they went to a serpentine setup.
I found one at the junkyard off of an 87 when I did my 86 Carb to TPI swap but I talked to a couple of people that did the swap as well and just used the bracket they had and just bent it so it would fit, don't know if they bolted to the intake though.
EDIT:
Found some pics,

Very nice pictures, I might want to try bending the one I have as long as I don't break it. The bracket with the "fork" does it connect to the intake at all?

In the second picture, look at the bracket. See the stamped in number? Look to the right from that. There's a radiused bend there, then it goes straight back towards the rear of the car. You can see where the intake ends, the runner is, then that bracket. That's the "fork" that mine has. You either run a stud or a longer bolt in that location to hold it in place. Not sure what was stock, bolt or stud, I went and bought a stud.
I looked at the bracket I had, there was no way I was going to bend it enough to work without weakening the metal too much. The carbed intake bracket I had used a bolt that went straight down into the intake, would have required bending that ear 90*.
