if in good condition, it could be low 14s to mid 14's... but that comes down to what tires you are running and how you launch it
with cheap tires it wont run well at all since it wont hook up. and TPI L98s are very sensitive to how well you launch... a few differences can mean a few tenths. decent soft street tires should work decent enough to pull a high 1.9 60 foot if launched just right and go on to a lower mid 14.
with the stock converter it will be abit harder to get of the line without either not getting the full potentiall, or spinning off the tires. practice will make perfect on a stock stall. its abit tricky but with time you'll get it. there is a fine line of a perfect launch with a stock stall. i tryed it for a long while on the back streets and either just bogged it abit or spun too much, untill i figured out the right amount of pedal pressure to get her to launch best by the seat of the pants feel... but i also had 2.77 gears so that made it abit harder

Run it and find out. I just ran my stock 88 L98 last night with crappy 2.77 gears, stock street tires etc.... and pulled off a 14.69 at 94 mph. I was pleasantly surprised as I thought the car would only muster low 15's. Just feels doggy to me. I ran consistent 60 foots with a best of 2.19 and the worst of a 2.23, my car is so easy to lauch its hilarious, a dummy could drive it ,,,LOL,,, with the tall gear I could nearly matt it off the line once the car was rolling and only get a squeak from the tires. The track was prepared good because on the street the car spins like crazy in first gear if I push it hard enough. 60 foots were very consistent for me considering the car itself. Now time for some bolt ons and see what happens. Larry.

like stated before its all in your launch. My car will only pull a 14.8 because of the tires on it losing traction not only in first but they break loose going into second so my 60 ft times are only 2.2s maybe a high 2.1 if I get it right. I know my car can do much better because my mph is 96, almost 97 at top end so I should be runnint mid to lower 14s with it. TPI cars are kinda tricky to get off the line because of how low the torque comes in, and if you have a stall converter like me your already into it when you launch so it has to be babied off the line. So I guess what Im trying to get atis if you want to go fast get good tires for the car and then youll be happier with your car at the track

Hello 87 350, I am not positive on the elevation here in Cincinnati but I believe it is rather low around the 500 foot level so there may be a small correction factor but I don't bother with it here. I mainly just keep note of the weather conditions so I can tune on my cars and try to make good changes. Of course a hot humid day here is very common which would raise density altitude quite a bit, luckily I ran on a very nice day here, 75 degrees with about 30% humidity, very dry, good air to race in.
All of my 60 foot times were very close all day with a best of 2.19 and the worst being 2.23. Pretty respectable 60 foot time for a stock car on stock street rubber. My car is very easy to launch with the 2.77 gears. At least at the track it was. Track was prepared good, lots of rubber and very sticky. I would foot brake to about 1,200 rpm, let off the brake and as soon as the car was rolling I could plant the throttle with only a squeak from the tires. Doing that on the street will haze the tires pretty good in first gear. The 14.69 at 94 mph pass had some slight audible detonation at the shift points for a split second. I beleive the car may have went slightly quicker if I gave it some cool down time and iced the intake, I beleive it may have went into the 14.50's with another mph or so. But the car is what it is, it ran quicker than I thought it would, I honestly though this thing would be a pooch. As far as 60 foots go, my 70 Firebird runs about the same 60 foots on stock street rubber but it is very tricky to launch and takes more finess, The Iroc was very simple, almost a no brainer to get moving, but the Firebird makes considerable more power so its not a fair comparison. I am sure once I start with bolts ons for the Iroc things will change and I may have to modify the launch technique etc....Just depends on the car I guess. My wifes 454 71 Vette is a blast to launch on stock street rubber, that thing hooks great and only has 3.08 gears, I can run easy consistent 2.00 60 foots and sometimes dip into the high 1.90's. My Chevelle has run a best of 1.59 60 foot with MT Drag radials with day light under the left front. My Monza ran a string of 2.00 60 foots on rediculous skinny street rubber and 3.23 gears, I mean very skinny tires with about 6 inch of tread width
Everyone laughed in the pits when they saw those rear tires but when I busted off a string of 2.0 60's they fell over and couldn't believe it, I had to laugh myself. Oh well, I am getting too far off subject. Goodluck running your car, chances are it will surprise you, I know mine surprised the heck out of me....later,,,Larry.

Just to add if any one is interested. I went to the scales with a load of aluminum in my truck today, I have raced the truck in the past but never knew what it weighed. It is a 79 1 ton single axle with a 454 and 3.73 gears. Whats funny is it is as fast as my Iroc. I have run some 14.60's in my truck at 92-94 mph.
I couldn't believe it when my truck weighed 5,275 lbs. empty with 1/2 tank of gas,,,,,
what a tank! I got curious and told the guys I would be right back....I pulled up in the Iroc with 3/4 tank of gas and it came in at 3,440 lbs.
It's lighter than I thought it would be with all that power stuff, windows, seats, locks, cruise, etc......and it's still not faster than my truck
Oh well, I need some bolt ons and a different rearend in the worst way LOL,,,,later guys, Larry.
