What would cause massive valve chatter?

On my 383, 219, TF car with a VERY mild tune. My timing has to be -4 degrees timing to avoid chatter. Any suggs?

damm -4. You sure your timing tab and balancer are correct?
the outer ring could have sliped on the balancer.

Brand new Balancer. No ring to slip, new timing tab and I verified it in the correct spot. with 6* the car hauls butt, but massive chatter. With -4 car is sluggish but no chatter

? cam to crank timed correct, or valves adjusted right. On mine timing that low will cause the headers to glow and on my frinds 388 also.
