I have an 88 iroc with the black injectors which i believe are the bosch injectors. I am looking to buy new injectors. I have a .040 over 350 with mildly ported L98 heads, comp cams extreme energy cam, slp siamesed intake runners, slp 1 3/4 headers and more of the usual mods. I have an intermittent miss which is more common when the car has been running for a while. My plugs, wires, cap and rotor have less than 5000 miles so I dont believe my problem is ignition related. My spark plug wires are also routed plenty far from my headers. I ran a can of injector cleaner in my last tank of fuel and my problem became much less frequent. My car sat for two years and I think I probalby have a certain buildup on my injectors as i dont believe any of them are flowing up to par. I am thinking of either 24 lb svo injectors or 26 lb venom injectors, or 30 lb bosch. Any suggestions from you guys would be greatly appreciated. I would like to use something which will work with the stock chip for the time being although I plan on trying my hand at burning my own some time in the future. Thanks again for the help!

 

You may very well have injector tip fouling from the storage. You can either replace the set, or send them off for cleaning and flow matching. The extra 6-8 cubes from the boring may not require a larger injector, but larger injectors will likely require some programming. An '88 may indeed still have the Rochester/Bosch injectors instead of the Multec, which is a good thing by most accounts.
