looking for more h.p from my 305tpi

this being my first camaro,I can say today that i love the car,I had reservations at first but the car has grown on me,but now i find myself wanting to go faster,and have decided that a pair of hooker headers are going to be one of my first add ons to this car,Iam looking for any suggestions as for as bolt ons for the car,and would appreciate all info,just want to go a little quicker,and dont have a hugh budget but i always say were theres a will theres a wayright,anyway need advice to gain horsepower!!!

wont really help your HP, but will make your engine work much more smoothly. If your car still has stock ignition stuff, get some msd wires, coil, box.

Also a holley fuel pressure regulator would help you out as well with the HP abit. It's relatively cheap as well. Bit over $100 I think.

free mods,please explain more,also how do different stall speeds affect a cars performance?

also wanted to know if i should change out the stosk shifter,i seem to have trouble getting a fast shift like going into 5 gear on the highway,wondered if a new shift would inprove my shifting,perhaps a b&m or hurst i dont know

coolant bypass of the throttle body.. gut the air box under the air filters, relocate the IAT sensor to the intake air box.

like i said this is my first camaro must of what you said just went over my head,i got the part about gutting my airbox,should both be done or just one side?bare with me i want to do this right

to gut the air boxes just cut the bottoms off the thing and rip out that plastic plate below it so you can see the ground through where the air filters are.

And as far as an Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator (AFPR) goes, I got the Crane Cams one for about 60 bucks.

I wouldnt pay sombody to port your intake its pretty easy, all you need is dremel tool or better yet an air compressor and a die grinder. Just do a search about this.... there is TONS of info about it.

With the car running and vac line disconnected, what fuel pressure do you guys run on your tpi's? I have a stick 305TPI.

I had a cam, headers, full 3" exhaust, MSD 6A, Blaster 3 Coil, 10.5:1 compression.
Ran a 14.1 @ 99mph with a 2.3 60' time and running in Limp Home Mode.
