edlebrock hi flo siamesed and ZZ4 cam dyno

I just figure I'd toss it up to compare for others

B2L 353 ... stock rebuilt heads with mgnum rockers and studs . 3 angle valve job. ZZ4 camshaft . Forged pistons , stock rods , crank. Edlebrock hiflo intake with the runner siamesed in 4 " base . Just cleaned up a bit of casting crap . Stock 1989 vette 6 speed prom. 34 degrees out today ( LS1's were 20 hp lower today )

I will post the graph when I can get the dam scanner figured out

but I got 251.3 rwhp and 319.8 RWTQ

she peaked at 4500 and lost 20 hp at 5600 . Not to bad though . I was happy with it I only expected max to get 245 to the wheels

Your dyno numbers should have been converted to SAE figures. Otherwise hard to say about your numbers. You have quite a few mods and I would think a custom eprom would be in order to achieve maximum power out of your combination.

The dyno operator does the conversion to the SAE numbers. Look on your dyno graph and see if it says SAE on it by the Horsepower and torque numbers. Allen

Was it a dyno-jet or mustang dyno?

Dyno jets tend to make more hp per car at the wheels than a mustang dyno.

If it was dynojet, u need to start working on the tune , alot.

I made 225rwhp and 315rwt on a dyno jet with a stock 91 350TPI GTA.(car was at 220 for the run)

Mods were 24# injectors and SLP catback with my own tuning.

Your only picking up 25hp and 5ft lbs over my best stock. U added a cam, valvlejob, full exhaust and less loss to the rear wheels because u have a manual.

Not slamming it by any means, just think there is more there for u to unlock thru tuning.

Great starter articles on the prom board if your not familiar with it.
