Bbk Twin 58

Just wondering if someone can tell me the difference between the BBK twin 58mm Throttle boddies for the MAF and SD cars. Summit sells both...I got the MAF 1 but I will be converting to SD since the addition of turbos. They look pretty much the same. Thanks

i believe the only difference is the throttle cables. i bought one used- then noticed when i tried to install it that the throttle cable connection was different- i had bought the wrong used tb. but- since i got a good deal on it- i decided rather than sell it- and buy the correct one- i would just get a different throttle cable.

tpis-10 is right the only difference is the cable mount. so depending on what cables your running. i have the holley stealthram and the sd body hits the fuel line so i went with the maf version

The difference is not between maf and speed density. Its between the 85-88 throttle body, and the 89-92 throttle body (includes the 89 MAF year). The older style engages a pod on the throttle body, the newer style uses a swingarm.

Also, you need to know what year plenum you have to match the throttle body to. You can install a later tb on an early plenum, but not vice versa.

yea but the later tb model throtle bodies dont fit the stealth ram the swingarm hits the fuel line so without modifing it a little bit it only binds up
