85tpi ecm swap to 86ecm?
i know there is a tech article out for this, but other than data logging because the faster sample rate, does the engine run more efficiently, hp, torque, mileage?

That I don't know, but it does give you the ability to run a much less expensive MAF sensor, plus, if you plan on tuning the prom, there's probably much better support for the '165 ECM.

For some folks, they're happy with the 85. If your not really into making the best of things, the changes might not be very prevalent to you. In general the newer the code, the better the car runs, but *better* is in the eyes of the beholder <g>
