1992 Camaro (Looking for information)

Guy's there is no better place to ask than on a forum with people like you who are very knowledgeable.

I'm looking for some information on 1992 Camaro's

Here is the list of things I would like to know.

I know it came with a TPI 350 motor, not sure but from what I heard all 350's are automatic?

Was there a 3rd gen Camaro that came stock with LT1 engine?

How much HP/TQ does it have stock. What are the 1/4 times?

How many were made hardtop and black for that year and what is the average price as of now I should be looking at?

Can 350 TPI be modified N/A to lets say 350 to 400 hp and is it worth it? How many parts must be replaced to comply with the power? Does rear end and transmission needs to be replaced/upgraded? What would be a cheaper way to go with that much hp turbo or supercharger or n/a?

I think this is it for now. I appreciate any help in advance

Please read Tech Central, particularly the FAQ, Tech Data, and Technical Articles. There's a wealth of info there. The links are on the main page, https://www.thirdgen.org/. Also read the threads in the FAQ board.

Stock, all 350's in 3rd gens were automatics. (There were ZF six-speeds in some of the 1992 Firehawks though.)

No, there was not a 3rd gen that came stock with the LT1, but it's a popular swap now.

The 1992 L98 had an advertised 245HP, 345 ft-lbs. torque.

GM does not keep track of particular combinations like how many '92 black hardtops with a 350 were made. You might be able to come close to a number looking at each individual producton number separately. Try a search in the History/Restoration board.

350-400HP N/A at the wheels or at the crank? There are members here that have 350 rwhp out of a worked 350, or 383. Anytime you add power, then the rest of the drivetrain (transmission, rear end) will need to be strengthened.
