I took my return fuel hose off from the metal line to see if I was having fuel go through the rail system. I have a walbro pump that suppose to be 60psi and had my pressure regulator all the way out which means I should have fuel coming out of the return line. does that mean that the pulsator in the tank could be loose. I have a steady stream coming out the feed hose, but I dont think its at 60 psi.

Any help would be helpfull

 

Definately something is wrong. It may be the pulsator, or the pump may be going bad. Clogged fuel filter is another item.

I would think that if the Fuel Pressure regulator is at 60# (arbritrary number) but your pump is only putting out only 55# then I would think you may not get anything back. OR you may have a clogged line somewhere in the return...

I would think a clogged Fuel Filter would not keep the fuel from returning, as that is on the feed side... However I guess if there was a large enough fuel pressure drop at the filter it may not be able to keep up.

Where are you checking the return fuel at? If your back by the fuel tank the Emissions canister tube should have no fuel. Check your FP regulator to see if it does not have something broken inside as it may not let fuel return if something got stuck in the return hole.

How about you hook the system up and measure the rail pressure that way?

A line venting to atmosphere isnt going to show you any idea of what pressure its at in a restricted and pressuized system.

 

I disconnected the return hose inside the engine bay and had the pimer connector jumpered. the pump should be pushing 60psi and the afpr was all the way out( afpr mod )
