Car: 1988 TPI 350 and a few add-ons

fuel rail swap

Ive been searching the archives and couldnt find the answers to my question so I hope someone can help me out. My question is, can I use a fuel rail from a 89-92 Camaro TPI 350 on my 88 Camaro TPI 350? Thanks for any info you guys could give me.

Axle/Gears: Auburn Pro / 3.42

I just swaped an 86 fuel rail with a 89 and everything bolted right up. You will lose the 9th injector though.

88-92 are the same rail.... 85-87 will have the 9th injector

'88 has the CSI as well

thanks for the reply fellow 3rd gens! so its ok to use an 89 and up fuel rail on an 88?

Yes, but use an 89 PROM, and disable VATs, shold be good to go...

If you use the 88 PROM, you may have cold start issues, since you will no longer (w/89 rail) have the CSI.
