Code 43 troubleshooting help
Well, i'm finally getting to the bottom of my code 43. The ecm and memcal are new, as is the knock sensor and knock sensor connector. The problem is that I am getting .3 volts at the connector. From previous posts, I have learned that it is a damaged wire or short to ground, but I can't seem to trace the wire back from the knock sensor, and not being able to get the car on a lift doesn't help the matter. Is there a common place for this wire to break, or anything else to check which would explain the low voltage? Also, if someone could describe the path of the wire to the ecm, that would help me out a lot.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I believe your '91 should be from the KS all the way to the ECM connector, since the ESC is in the ECM, right?
If you can find the schematic, you shoould be able to test continuity.
If you go to the ECM forum, and search through there, you'll find links to ECM pinouts for the '730 ECM.

I just wanted to report that i fixed the problem. There was a break in the knock sensor wire somewhere. Rather than disassemble my harness trying to find it, I just ran another wire next to it and spliced it in at the ecm. The car drives like its brand new, tons of power and a very responsive pedal.
