does anyone know how much a replacement maf costs? also how hard is it to replace? i would like this maf to be as close to stock as possible because i live in cali and want it to pass smog emissions.

 

Perform a board search for "MAF" and "replacement". You should find several recent threads with helpful information.

 

A new one (not a re-man) goes for about $150 to $160. Re-mans are cheaper, but depending on where you get it some of the brand new one's are of an updated design. I work for Advance Auto. We sell a film type instead of the hot wire type. Basically inside instead of the circle with the wire in it you will see a circuit board with a piece of film on it. I'm running this MAF in one of my cars and it works great.
