Need some advice.

First off let me start off by saying I am on a very low budget like many of us are.
I have a 1985 TPI Trans am it is an automatic and it has 132000 miles on it completey stock.
I am having a cold start problem and am about to replace the CSI because i have a feeling it is leaking or not injecting one or the other.(any help in that would be great) In order to do so I have to take off the plenum and runners. While thoses are off I was thinking on getting my injectors cleaned and flowtested. I was also thinking about getting the TPI dipped at a machine shop any suggestions about that would be greatly appriciated as well.
I would like to do a few things to make the engine run a little better. I am not looking to race it in any way but I would like to get it a tiny bit better then stock. I have a flowmaster that I need to put on it. but do you guys think that having the injectors cleaned and the TPI setup cleaned will do anything to get it running better?, it is a little rough right now. Any other ideas on doing things to make it run smother, not modding it, I have searched a ton and read alot about that. I really want to make it run good and not like crap. I am tired of hearing my brother in a civic telling me it doesnt sound good.
TIA and sorry about the lenght
Thanks
Dennis

???

About making your car running better, it could be a WHOLE lot of things!!
Put it on a scanner.
Also, search for "running poorly" or stuff along that line.

TPI's have a tendency to be very finicky(sp?),(vac leaks, low voltage, sensors)
