TPI idle speed

I read the tech article and it said the idle speed should be 600 rpm, but when my car idles at 600 rpm the voltage drops. Am I just reading the article wrong? What should the idle be set at?

That 600 rpms is for a stock engine. Since you have a 350 in an 85, the tech article doenst apply to you. Your idle speed depends highly on how big your camshaft is. More cam needs a higher idle.
