Ok, I just picked up an 88 TA. I believe it was originally a California car. I was wondering what the differences in emmissions were on the 88 California 305 TPI compared to the same engine in a non California car. Thanks.

Only difference (to my knowledge) was the prom.

Does that mean I can rechip the car and it won't have any of the Cali. stuff left?

I've never sat down to see what the difference between a Cali and Fed emissions prom is. I do know that when you look up a prom broadcast code, it will say whether it is for Federal or California emissions.

You can figure the differences out easily enough if you use the difference finder tool in TunerPro.
