How accurate is factory O2 sensor?

I've been playin around with DataMaster software and notice that accelerating at WOT my A/F ratio is around 11.8:1.

Is this an accurate enough system to tune by? If so, 11.8 is lean for best power, yes??

OE style Oxygen sensors are only accurate at Stoich. The further they get from Stoich, the less accurate they become. Wide Band O2 sensors are much more accurate through a much larger range.
