cleaning engine bay on my 85 z

hey guys im about finished with my motor rebuild on my 85 z thats got the 305 tpi motor. right now i have deleated the emmisions and AC on the car and i want to know what else i can safely take out of the engine bay to reduce cluttering. i was wondering about the cruise control unit and there is also some other vaccum box i think on the driver wheel well. can i remove both of them? also i have deleted the heater box what can i do to remove the relay and wires that once went to control the heater system? any ideas would be apriciated thanks

Is the other vacuum thing your talking about cylinder shaped? its more smog crap you can get rid of. You can always take the washer fluid reservoir out. Get a serpentine setup with an ac delete pulley will make it look better than those old vbelts. you can always just cut the wires? well what I did was make a block off plate from a piece of tin, paint it the same color and stuff all the wires behind it under the dash. That clears it up a lot.

I think it looks cleaner w/ the V-belt. You dont need to deal w/ any idler pullies. The cruise control can come out easily enough if you dont use it much go for it. That cylinder next to it is the evap canister. You can remove it but make sure you dont plug the line comming from the gas tank, you dont want pressure to build up. I just ran som rubber hose from the line into the fender well.
