A Real Mess!
1986 LB9 IROC unknown origin and in disrepair or despair. I bought it. Put a battery in it and replaced the "bad" fuel pump. Flash the computer and get only code 12 repeatedly. Car starts for 500mSec and quits. Still no trouble codes. Swap computers with known good out of same year 165 ecm. Same responce. Install 3.9Kohm resistor from A to B on ALDL (Well TPS adjusted to 3.9K) to force limp mode still same. I am asking for help.
Car evidently sat for a couple of years with no battery. Am I Phuced

Unplug the maf sensor, see if it runs, if it does replace the maf power relay. If you have a known good maf sensor try swapping it in.
Also check some of the simple stuff like your fuel pressure, and fuel pump relay. You may also want to put a new fuel filter in it.
Unbolt the throttle body and clean out the idle air passages, also take out the iac motor and clean that.
hope this helps.

Replaced fuel filter tonight. Swapped known good throttle body and MAF last night. Still no response like a running engine.
If I replaced the pump and not the filter and cranked for 10-20 reps could I have burned up a new pump? I still hear the pump turn on when i turn the key to on....just not when it is cranking.
Timeing light works when cranking and durring the 1/2 sec run time. We unplugged the reference wire to the computer and set timeing to 0 also.
As for relays the guy before me uninstalled them from the metal mount they were on. I know 1 is for the fuel pump relay 1 is for the fan and I don't know what the other is for. I do know the flat plug module is the spark advance.

Hold a finger on a fuel injector while a friend cranks the motor,
you should feel it click, if not, try changing the ignition module under the dis. cap

Well guys I have good news. I found a hole in the rubber line going from the pump to the fuel line. Replaced the line and she fired and ran for about 15 minutes. Now to address vacume leaks and get the relays mounted back up. Fan doesn't run at all and I found just a pigtail hanging from its motor. Hope to have this thing moving by this weekend. Also have to install a tranny in it. Person before me tried to "install" a TH350. I will be installing an extra TH700r4 out of my stock pile. Thank you for the help Guys.
