87 IROC help
ok so i jsut bought a 87 IROC (auto) and havin some problems with it. pretty much when the car is cold it runs decent but when it warms up and its in drive it stalls. we changed the ECM. tried disconnecting the MSD6a system it had ghetto rigged onto it. but i still keep gettin the same problem. i can hear the fuel pump working so i dont think its that. im not sure if my volt guage works but its peeked.
its funny cause i bought this as a back-up car for my pace car but it looks like my pace car is gonna be its back-up car.

Check for codes. Do you know how? If not, all you need to do is get a small paper clip and bend it into a u shape. Then look at your ALDL connector, it may be behind a small rectangular cover at the bottom right side of the drivers steering wheel. Down at the hush panel. Tucked near the center console. Place the paper clip into the upper left last two terminals. Turn the ignition to the ON position. Dont start the car. Watch the check engine light. It should flash in this order. 1 blink, pause, 2 blinks. That means code 12. It will flash this 3 times. Code 12 is normal. After it flashes code 12 3 times, it may display other codes. For example it may flash 34. That would be 3 blinks without a pause, then a pause and 4 more blinks without pause. It will display that code again 3 times. After that possibly a different code, and so on. Get back to us with what you find.
