Engine: 350 tuned port. bolt ons
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 3.73
TPI fuel pressure
ok i tested my fuel pressure it read 38-37. but if i start it up in the after it sat for over 5 hours it putters out and dies. but if i start it up any time that not over 5 hours it starts right up. i tested my pressure when the car was ideling. the ignition system is fairly new new cap and rotor new plugs new sparkplug wires new ignition coil. i tested my pressure a few days ago and it read lower then 37

If that pressure is with the FPR vacuum line disconnected then either the fuel pump is bad or the fuel filter is clogged.
If it is with the FPR vacuum line connected, then disconnect it from the FPR and plug it. Start engine, while at idle, the fuel pressure must be between 43.5 and 47.5 PSI. Can also rev up the engine a little (don't go crazy) as an additional check.
