Help With My Idle Problem Please

I've searched but haven't found anything close to what im getting hear at home.

When I start my car it may stumble for a split second then it jumps to about 1700rpm for about 2-3 seconds. After the high idle it will go down to about 800rpm and sometimes even lower almost causeing the car to shut off, never has actually shut off though. Then it kinda just keeps repeating itself usually but it dosen't run back as high as it did when i first started it(maybe 1200rpm) and never as low to the point of stalling(maybe 500rpm). I did unplug what I think was the oxygen sensor up near the passenger side firewall, and it actually seem to idle alittle better, but the check engine light stays on. The last thing I have noticed is at stop lights the idle seem to go low and the car seems to stumble just alittle bit. Im hopeing its just a sensor and I can fix it this weekend.

Anythoughts

Im real tired from work so sorry if a sentence is run together or a word is typed wrong.

I was having a similar problem... I have decreased the problem a lot though.

The HIGH idle was due to a vacum leak in one of my hoses. I also had a brake booster vacum leak. So i would check for vacum leaks.

After checking and fixing all of those, my car still idles rough at low rpm's and wants to stumble around and die when first started and when at stop lights. I am still working on this problem. Next thing i am going to check is the MAP sensor.

I already cleaned and then replaced the IAC motor, the whole intake was cleaned out during engine swap. The TPS is set correctly and the tb blades are open in just the right spot to make the IAC work correctly.

I will let you know what i find on the MAP sensor. If its not that.. its going back to ED Wright to check on the tuning.

I would check the timing and fuel pressure.
