110 lsa TPI friendly??
I have a friend that is giving me this cam, I dont want to get into tuning. I will have a 2000 stall , headers and 3" exhaust back from the y-pipe. I know the cam isnt computer controlled but will I have problems?

But it may still work pretty well without tuning. Maybe advance the distributor to 8-10 base timing. The low low end may be soggy, but you got a converter, and the tighter LSA will make more torque once it starts to get into the power band.
Whether it's computer friendly or not depends more on the overlap than the lobe spread. You can get the same idle characteristics from a 110 as a 112 when different cam lobes are used. Same lobes,,, generally the 112 will be more EFI friendly.
Saying that, the 265DEH-10 has relatively quick valve action with a relatively low .006" duration (265/269 - 211/221). I've installed a HE268 (268/268 - 218/218 - 110) in a MAF 305 TPI before and the idle was a little rich with proper WOT fuel pressure adjustment with the stock chip and the stock MAF. Gutting the MAF cleaned up the idle a good bit though - not perfect, but definitely accceptable. So, the DEH would work OK in a MAF car,,, but I personally wouldn't pick that cam for a 305 TPI (it would do well in a 350 car though). Lunati has a 255/265 205/215 on a 112 that does wonders in the LG4 and 305 TPI cars.
If the "free" DEH cam is new, it would be worth the difference in what you could sell the DEH cam for and apply the money towards the Lunati or a similar grind cam. If the "free" cam is used and you don't have the lifters that were used on the cam and KNOW which lifter came of which lobe,,, then don't put in the free cam. You could easily wipe a lobe and the "free" cam might end up costing you more money than a new cam and lifter set with better valve timing would cost.

no problem with a 110 lobe sep.if you have mas air its easier to deal with but if you have a speed density set system you will need it to be tuned for that style cam..........

You can put that cam in and see faster times. But you are leaving so much on the table by not tuning it.
