which TF heads for 88 tpi?

can anyone recommend some part #'s to check out for trick flow heads?

i want to keep all my emissions and my centerbolt setup.
just want a set of heads that are fully assembled and ready to install except for maybe some 1.6 rr's.
i have a zz4 cam and bolt-ons already.

i found TFS-30400005 & TFS-30400006 at summit.
are those my best bet for $ and compatibility?

If you are going to do future mods I would go with the 304-00007 heads with the dual springs and the safety factor of two springs. Stay away from the 304-00005 heads as they are only good to .525" lift. You will max them out with your ZZ4 and 1.6 roller rockers.

yeah i saw those too.
didn't know if i needed that much.
how did you calculate the lift?
sorry i'm new to this head stuff.
by max out you mean they will only flow so much and not use all air i'm pushing through?
i might look into a turbo or super in the future too so if that's the case, i'll save up a couple hundred more bucks.

By maxing out you will bind the springs and have a failure. I believe the exhaust lift with 1.5 rockers on a ZZ4 cam is .495 inches. With 1.6 rockers it becomes .528 inches and that is more than the 00005 heads can take without mechanically binding.

you're right, the max lift for the 00005 is .520
the 00006 is .540 and 00007 is .600.

still think i need that much lift or just mainly for the safety if i use power adder later?

If you are going for more power down the road I would go for the 0007 heads. They will handle about any cam you want to put in your motor.

I'm running the 00007 with 1.6 rollers and stock valve covers with a ZZ9 cam. Going to the Comp Cams XFI268HR-13.

very cool.
which rollers (brand/self aligning) and pushrods (brand/size) are you using and did you have to buy or recommend anything else when doing all this at once?

I'm using the factory pushrods.
really? the summit catalog said special length pushrods required.
what about those rollers, what are you using, steel, alum, self aligning?
sorry about all the questions but you have a similar setup to what i have and i'm looking for.
