Odd TAch readings...
the other day i tuned up my car, and i bought it a bit ago and havnt really hammered the throttle, today i wanted to see kinda how easy it reved up so, hell lol put it to the floor.... it stopped at 2000 rpm on the tach, now i was scared to hold it because lol for somereason i didnt think holding it at 2k would help anything, now its a at- mt swap so i was thinking maybe the ecm in it thinks it an automatic and shift point is at 2000 rpm meaning thats where the rev limiter is at?
lemme know i fu need more details, im trying to figure out if its my engine ( ignition/spark etc) or the tach itself
btw 87, 350 tpi all stock uncluding that UGLY air intake lol

you can drive a manual car without knowing if your revving past 2k by the sound?
you should know if it's your tach or your motor right off the bat by listening to the damn thing man...
and it must go past 2000, and just be a faulty tach, because I don't see how you could drive that thing for any amount of time without going over 2k, and thinking nothing is wrong. especially with a manual transmission.
No way.

Well thats the thing i dont drive it as of yet, im working on it as a project and the engine doesnt seem to rev any higher by the sound of ear when i have ti to the floor, so im guessing it may be a faulty tach, i gotta go to school ill be back in the after noon
