General Tuning
Hey guys,
I'm really new to TPI setup's but I'm interested in tuning my GTA on my own. What do you guys recommend as far as software for my laptop? OR Basically, where do I start or find more info about tuning? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome Aboard!
It really is not highly complicated. The software that is currently available makes it much easier. Just read through the suggested posts on the DIY PROM board and see where others have gone wrong and what they have done right. I'm using TunerPro with good success. You'll need a data cable to link to the ECM for data logging, a PROM burner, and either a supply of bare PROMs or an eraser.
Craig Moates also has a lot of good information on his site:

The DIYPROM section of this site has all the info.
I'd start by collecting all the equipment neccessary, starting with a good wideband setup and a good accelerometer. Without good test equipment you won't get far with tuning.
