I was wondering. The numbers in the tech data, are those rear wheel horse or is that at the flywheel. It doesnt say.

Single cat version had 225 HP at the motor. The dual cat version had 235 HP at the motor. Hope this helps.

in 1989 I heard from other sites ..... it was 245 for the L-98 .

Quoted Hp by a vehicle manufacturer is always flywheel Hp. The Hp values listed in the tech data are the GM Hp declared Hps. I think that since the flywheel Hp is always higher (impressive) than the actual Hp delivered to the rear wheels, that is why the manufacterer lists the flywheel Hp.

If a magazine or a owner of the vehicle puts the car on a chassis dyno, then (of course) you have the actual Hp delivered to the rear wheels, usually shown as RWHp.
