Help

I have a slight miss at and coolant slowly goes down
I have no malted milk in the oil, it looks very clean and
normal. also no steam out the exhaust, but I have to add
coolant at least once every1- 2 weeks. If the head gaskets
are not bad then can the intake manifold gasket be the
problem. When I add stop leak it's like I just had a tune up
it runs fine, for a short time. Also the oil level does not rise,
so that tells me the coolant is not getting in to the oil. But like I said stop leak is like a tune up. Help

sounds like a head gasket or a cracked head. do a comprestion test on all cyls. check your spark plugs (if 1 or 2 look brand new that could mean coolant is getting in combustion chamber) also run the codes. let us know what you find out.

THIS IS NOT THE CORRECT PROCEDURE, BUT JUST LOOK AT YOUR Y-PIPE IF IT IS WHITE THATS A VERY GOOD INDICATION OF HEAD GASKETS. IT MY NOT HAVE WATER IN THE OIL BUT GOES DIRECTLY OUT THE EXHAUST. CHECK YOUR FREEZE PLUGS, DRAINS, LOWER RADIATOR, HOSES TO RADIATOR AND HEATER. THE COOLING SYSTEM IS VERY SIMPLE ON THESE CARS IF YOU CAN NOT FIND ANY LEAKS THAN MORE THAN LIKELY IT IS HEAD GASKETS. i ONLY TELL YOU THIS WAY BECAUSE COMPRESSION TESTERS ARE EXPENSIVE AND YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO LOCATE ONE. THAT IS A GREAT WAY OF FINDING YOUR PROBLEM AS WELL, AND ALSO SOMEWHAT TIME CONSUMING. FIND RESULTS AND POST THEM. WE LIKE TO HEAR THE RESULTS OF PROBLEMS.

what i said was good, short of pulling the heads off the car. compression testers aern't that expensive. also you were right he should check the hoses, water pump, and top of his intake mani. the y-pipe can change color from burning water, a lean condion, mis-fireing, or a cylinder not fireing at all. and one last thing please dont yell, i.e. turn your caps off.

I also have a slight miss when
I accelerate. Hoses are ok. can
the intake manifold gasket allow
coolant in to the combustion chamber?

yes, it can but, I think you would see coolant sitting where the manifold meets the head.

a bad head gasket could be the sorce of your misfire. so check your plugs, wires, cap & roter, if good look into the head gask.

(sorry about edit on post above, thought it was this one)
