quick tps question
I can use the older adjustable tps sensor on my 92 right?...mine isnt reading .7 like it should and its causing all sorts of problems with my car. So I figure i need an adjustable one to get it to .7
Mines just reading low.... .3 - .4 at idle

I'm probably mistaken (again), but I don't believe that is too low at the closed throttle position on a '92. If the TPS is higher than 0.70V it may cause problems, but the ECM should read any voltage below 0.70V at startup, consider that to be the closed throttle position, and measure the throttle angle accordingly from that point on.
BTW - The signature is cool, but you may want to re-phrase the text within it. (Hint..Hint...)

Yep, I was just reading the 1992 GM manual for the Camaro. It stated that anything between .20V and .95Volts was considered closed and the ECM would put that in the memory bank.
I was trying to chase down where the .71V for a MAP car came from. Could not find it in writing except for posts on this site. Mine is set at .58V because I did not change the setting when I converted from MAF to MAP.

but the guy whos doing my car's tuning..pcmforless.com (alvin to be exact) said it should be .7 at idle and above 4. XX at wot.
he said since my voltage is so low all the time, its making the car think its at idle most of the time and it wont switch over "fuel trims" while im cruising. he said it was also causing burst knock here and there. I think at wot the car is demanding more fuel but the ecm doesnt think the blades are open as far as they are acutally open so i run lean up top and lose alot of power. THis could explain why the car feels like it wants to go, but just doesnt and also why the engine heals up so fast under heavy load.
