Removing smog pump.

Ok, so this afternoon i have the day off and decided, lets start working to fix that lifter (I have a lifter knock, gonna replace em all). So I take off upper plenum, runners, fuel rails. And out of know where the smog pump just...jumps right out of its area . I figure, since its out why not. The pump (main black box thingy) is out. What else is entailed in removing the rest of the stuff? Just trace all of the hoses and disconnect them and the just plug up the headers? Or is it more indepth. I can get someone to tune for removing it so thats not a problem.

Thanks, Mike.

When I put headers on my TA, that pump hit the trash pretty quick. I've had no problems with it off. Then I put on a SLP cold air induction system, and the charcoal canister made a nice 3 point shot! As long as you plug your lines and vent the line for your charcoal canister you should be all set.
I hope you get everything cleaned up. and running strong.
