fuel pump staying on after car is turned off?
my fuel pump usually stays on for about 10 seconds after the car is turned off every time. Is this normal???
Is it possible that instead of my MAF burnoff relay turning on, my Fuel pump is turning on instead because of some wiring problem??? i have been getting a code 36 lately.
any thoughts??

don't know what the code 36 is, off the top of my head, but fuel pump may be hanging on a little longer if your oil pressure isn't dropping off that quick on shut down...

i dont know about that....... how could it have ANYTHING to do with the oil pressure
also code 36 demonstrates a problem with the MAF burn off relay

i gotcha... hmmm well, you guys dont think theres any relation between the MAF burnoff relay, and the Fuel pump relay? like the wires being crossed somewhere, so instead of the MAF burnoff tuning on after ignition shutoff, the fuel pump turns on instead??? this is what im getting at

Perform a search for "MAF burnoff" and "oil pressure" and you may find some of my older posts regarding the remote possibility that an intermittent oil pressure switch can cause a '36' error code.

sounds good vader, will do. thanks
i really just wanted to know if there was a POSSIBILITY of the wires being crossed somewhere, or something that was causing my PUMP to turn on, INSTEAD of my MAF BURNOFF RELAY
