injector problem: urgent
while pulling fuel rail off manifold, some of the plastic caps broke off the injectors on the bottom side. can they go back in w/o those caps? i assume no, and if not where can i get those caps

They don't affect flow or atomization, all they do is protect a little bit from carbon and backfires and the likes.
Napa has them. You'll need to take your injector in to make sure you get the right one.
It's called a pintle cap.
Becareful putting them on, as they too can break.
Heat them up just a little, then pop them on the injector.
Why did you take the fuel rail off the intake, if you were just replacing the gasket? You could have left it on there.
