computer chip problem?

Car: 88 trans am, and 06 focus DOHC
Engine: 305 tpi
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 4.56 screaming pave eating :-)
computer chip problem?
hey i have a 305 trans am which has computer chip and it runs very rich....could the chip be screwing up computer to idle very rough??

Axle/Gears: Always the good ones
Check all the basics first
Than use a scanner to make sure all sensors jive when hot and cold.
88 still has cold start injector, that could leak, bad injectors could leak, weak ignition could cause it or a bad 02, failing temp sensor, etc
Check everything out and than see where u stand.
Try to educate yourself about what it is doing before u throw things at it.
